1. It’s been 1 week and 3 days since we’ve moved in.
2. I love love LOVED living Uptown and honestly if we would have found our house Uptown, we would have stayed! But -I did not know how much I would LOVE living a little bit outside of the city. It feels sooooo refreshing and calm.
3. We wanted the exterior railing up as soon as possible and Justin got it done in record time. We were afraid the dog would fall off the edge and really unsure why there was no railing there to begin with.
4. Today we figured out exactly what we are doing for the interior railing and I am SO EXCITED. We have been working with the Grand Bay Home Hardware on a ton of stuff, and Justine at GBHH is amazing. She has literally been making my dreams come true. Lol!
5. We can see the stars from bed.
6. Justin and I have both been wearing the same work clothes for a week and 3 days, and it’s weirdly fun.
7. We haven’t yet parked in our giant 2 car garage.
8. It’s hard to imagine what this house looks like without plywood as flooring so I cannot WAIT for our flooring to arrive tomorrow and we start to see it laid!
9. I’m so happy we left the wainscotting in the main living spaces. It took a zillion coats of paint to cover the wood, but it adds character and I love it.
10. I used to HAVE to have ice in my water living Uptown, I found if it was cold like that it distracted the taste lol, and now that we have well water, I haven’t even thought about ice! We don’t even own an ice tray yet. The difference is incredible.
