How to Get Started
Step 1 — Complete Your Order
Place your order through checkout and select your preferred size and shipping option.
Payment options:
Checkout (credit card)
E-Transfer (Canada): send payment to hello@alliebeckwith.com → If paying by E-Transfer, proceed through checkout to view your total, then send a screenshot of your selected options and sizing.
Step 2 — Email Your Details
After checkout, email hello@alliebeckwith.com with:
Your order number or E-Transfer reference number
Screenshot of your checkout page (if paying by E-Transfer)
Your reference photo(s) or idea, and any previous work of mine that you were drawn to
Key elements you'd like included that are meaningful to the intent or concept of the artwork
Any special notes or preferences
Your ideal completion date (if applicable)
I thoughtfully consider the key elements you share so the concept remains front of mind throughout the process, while allowing space for artistic interpretation and creative freedom — ensuring the final piece feels both personal and authentically my work.
Rush Orders
Rush commissions may be available for an additional fee, depending on size, complexity, and current studio schedule. If you have a specific deadline in mind, please include it in your email so availability and pricing can be confirmed before work begins.
Production & Timing
Paintings shipped flat (stretched on frame): ready to ship 1–2 weeks after completion
Paintings rolled for shipping: require 12–14 weeks of drying and curing time after completion — recommended to prevent cracking and ensure longevity
This curing period is essential to protect the integrity of the painting and ensure it lasts for decades.
Artist Check-In & Final Touches
Near the completion of your painting, I'll be in touch with a progress photo and a quick check-in. This allows you to see how the piece is coming together and share any final thoughts before completion.
At this stage, minor adjustments can be made if something specific is jumping out — such as small refinements to colour, tone, or emphasis. Most collectors have no notes at this point, but the check-in ensures your concept and key elements feel fully aligned before the painting is finalized.
Shipping Options
Any commission over 4×6 ft must be rolled and shipped.
Option 1 — Rolled Canvas Shipping Painted on canvas, rolled and shipped in a tube. 35 CAD flat-rate shipping. Once received, the canvas can be stretched or framed locally. (Michael's quoted approx. 350 CAD for a 6×4 ft painting — pricing varies by size and location.) Most cost-effective option for large-scale works.
Option 2 — Shipped on Frame (6×4 ft or Smaller) Painting ships stretched on its frame. UPS professionally packs and ships the artwork. Shipping is paid upfront by the artist — buyer receives a receipt and reimburses via E-Transfer (Canada) or custom payment link (International). Typical range: $200–$1,000+ CAD depending on size, weight, and destination.
In general: 24×36" and smaller, shipping on frame makes sense. Larger than 24×36", rolling is usually preferred unless shipping cost is not a concern.
Option 3 — Delivery to Cape Breton & Halifax For collectors or retail partners located in Cape Breton & Halifax, personal delivery may be available depending on scheduling and travel. Reach out after placing your order and we can arrange timing and logistics directly.
Local Pickup Available for Saint John, NB and surrounding area. Select Local Pickup at checkout — your painting will be prepared stretched on frame.
Custom Framing (Optional)
Custom solid oak framing is available upon request for select sizes. Each frame is made to order and designed to complement the artwork for a timeless, gallery-ready finish.
The artist retains all rights to the artwork and may use images for marketing, reproductions, and prints
