If you are planning a trip to Montreal, chances are cute cafes are on your radar. There’s nothing better than having an exact post to reference to save you the work of creating one yourself. The names of the cafes are included in the descriptions as well as their exact address! Depending on which area you are staying in you can literally copy and paste these details into your Google Maps and walk straight there!! I wish I had this list the million times I’ve been to the city. Hahah. It always sucks knowing there are places you want to see, but not being able to find them in time and then settling on a random mediocre one thats close by.
Tommy Cafe
Tommy is located in Old Port on 200 Notre-Dame St W. It has hanging plants from the ceiling, gorgeous crown moulding and natural light from every direction. Everything is white and so beautiful. The old architecture is stunning, and the layout is cool too. There are three small levels and a lot of seating, with barstools, benches with marble barista tables and a few couches and comfy chairs throughout the top floor. I recommend getting to Tommy pretty early as it does fill up pretty quickly, and stays consistently busy throughout the day. Sometimes it’s hard to find seating, and seating near a plug if you’re there to work.
Sophie Sucree
Located in the Plateau at 167 Ave des Pins E, Sophie Sucree is such a cute little cafe. I wandered in there sort of unplanned, but couldn’t resist it’s pink exterior. I sat down with tea & a croissant and worked on my laptop for about an hour. It was quiet, cute and the staff was very friendly. I recommend checking it out if you find yourself near Saint Laurent and looking for a low key, quiet place, to duck away for a minute.
SSENSE Cafe
Ok so if you aren’t familiar with SSENSE, it’s (what I thought was an online website) but it’s an actual 4 level store with amazing designers like, Comme Des Garcons, Valentino, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Prada, everythinggggg. It’s located in Old Port on 418 St Sulpice St. The website says it’s by appointment only, but thats not true, I just wandered in and it was fine Lol. They have actual working hours. It’s really easy to walk right past, but make sure you find it!! It’s a huge door, and the theme makes it look like a Metro entrance. I recommend going to the top floor to the cafe first, then check out each floor below. The cafe is absolutely unreal. If you are an Instagrammer, you will be in HEAVEN. The entire thing is concrete, with the most minimal layout ever. It has huge windows that overlook the streets of Old Montreal and it’s such a cool atmosphere. I had the best chats with the employees as I tried their juices! They were so fun and also let me charge my phone so I didn’t have to leave right away hahaha. Highly recommend, and their juices are amazing. Tag me in any pictures from there!!!!
Restauran Melisse
This restaurant/cafe is in Old Port on 719 William Street. I think it’s honestly one of the cutest places that I’ve ever been to. Every single detail inside this place is amazing. From the concrete, to the artwork, to the marble, to the tabletops and chairs. It is SO beautiful!! If you love cute cafes & “Instagrammable” spots, GO HERE. My server was the absolute sweetest human, and promised me they’d be restocked on rose by my return ;). Lol. It’s the perfect stop for brunch or to just have a coffee and work on your laptop. I reccommend going in the daylight so you can appreciate all the pretty details in natural light, but that’s just me. Lol. This place created my next challenge on selling Justin on painting a wall pink in our house…..
Cafe Origine
Cafe Origine is located 8 Sherbrooke St W. It is a cute spot to pop into for a coffee or a light lunch. They specialize in grilled cheese, which I can say, are very very good. The outside of the building is what really drew me in. I snagged a seat near the window and it was the perfect spot for people watching while catching up on emails.
Dispatch
Dispatch is located 4021 St Laurent Blvd. If you have a low key obsession with concrete, you will LOVE this spot. It has a very minimal vibe and all neutrals with wood accents. It’s a good place to meet friends or work from your computer. Though it is a pretty big space, seating is limited. It’s definitely very Instagram worthy, so if you’re into that, definitely check out Dispatch.
Let me know if you check out any of these awesome spots and tag me in any photos you take!! I want to see!!
xx
