Hey girls! Today I’m sharing how I did my DIY shoe wall! It’s really cute, and a nice, organized, way to keep your shoes & bags organized. I am the type of person that if I don’t see it in front of my face when I am getting ready in the morning, I forget it exists. I like to have everything in front of me when getting dressed and putting together looks. We tried out the original shoe wall in our old condo. It was perfect, and exactly what I had pictured in my head. You can find the full closet tour of our old place here!
I scored these white floating shelves from Kijiji (but you can purchase the larger top ones from Ikea) and started from there! I didn’t really have a scientific game plan to creating this shoe closet, I just knew I wanted it to look cute and fit all my favorites! So I went out, bought the floating shelves, made some measurements and just went for it! I went with white shelves (obviously lol), I find that white shelves against white walls creates a uniform look! The shelves are quite large and if I went with anything other than white, they would’ve looked bulky.
I cannot stress how easy this shoe closet is to diy!! If you’re stuck on ways to store your shoes and handbags, you need to try this diy out! I did some research and found a few links to floating shelves that I think would be perfect for a shoe closet design!! I also think this look could be replicated pretty easily using a tall white bookshelf against a white wall.

Let me know if you try it out! You know the drill, send me photos. Lol.
