Hi guys!! I hope you are all getting outside and enjoying this beautiful weather NB is having!! What better way to enjoy time outside than with a DIY?! Today I’m going to share with you how I took a basic planter and turned it into a concrete one!
First, I had Justin pick up some concrete. I used the Ardex Feather Finish concrete in the colour grey specifically, but I’ve linked a similar feather finish concrete right here for you guys!
I mixed the concrete with water until I got a pancake-like consistency. To cover the pot, I used a large art paintbrush! I painted on an even thin layer and let it dry for about 20 minutes. I then did a second coat to make sure the old pot didn’t peek through!
And that’s how I created this cute, minimal, concrete planter! I loved it so much that I even made a few more, and I covered my lady statue in it as well!! The whole process took about an hour, but I let it completely dry overnight! I hope you guys give this one a try, it was so quick and easy! As always, send me pictures of your creations!!
Have a great week everyone ✨
xx
