Photographers, listen up.

Allie Beckwith February 7, 2017

Photographers, Instagrammers, Parents of children or dogs, pay attention. I have a product that is going to change your life. I honestly might even be late to this party but I'm going to share it anyways because it's very new to me.

If you're anything like me, you use your camera on special occasions/photo shoots/work and you use your cell phone more for the day to day, IG life. I've always been annoyed at this disconnect. I'm a

photographer

, and barely use my camera if it isn't purely for work. I was on a rant about how I couldn't believe that

no one

had come up with some sort of way for your photos from your camera, to go instantly to your cell phone. Quick, angry Google search later,  and....--------

they have.

Let me tell you about the Flash Air SD card by Toshiba. This post isn't even sponsored, I just love it this much. It's a regular SD card that you put into your camera in the memory card slot. When the card is put in, and the camera is turned on, it gives off a WiFi signal called "flashair".  You connect to it from your WiFi settings like you would any connection. You need to download the FlashAir app in the app store and thats where all your photos will load to. Once your connected to the FlashAir wifi, open the app and all the photos you just took on your camera will appear there!!!

You can download your photos onto your phone, and upload them instantly to Facebook, Instagram, etc. The quality is amazing and it's soooo easy to use.

For me it was so frustrating when I wanted to take a good photo, I would take one with my camera and then one with my phone so I could upload it immediately, sacrificing quality for instantaneous posts.

My trip to Costa Rica was the first time I really used my new card and it literally changed the trip for me. I used my camera, and didn't just keep it tucked into my bag. I got all of the girls to download the app so they too could get all the photos that we took that day. It's incredibly convenient. I would normally have to edit a million photos when I come home from a trip, while everyone that was on the trip, asks daily when they will be able to see all the photos. This made my life so easy, the girls got the photos they wanted. I helped edit them on their phones and everyone was happy :) :) :) Especially me. lol

I also want to add that you

do not

need to be connected to WiFi for this to work. It's a little confusing but put it this way: you could be on a 5h bus trip with no WiFi and this still works. The card itself gives off the signal.

I made a New Year's resolution to use my camera more for personal use and I can honestly say I have been. Whenever I'm home and go to snap a quick picture with my phone of the cat or a painting, I stop and go get my camera instead. It's great.

I also can't believe how reasonably priced they are. I got mine on Amazon for 50.00 and got it with 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime.
