Happy Easter!! I hope you guys are all soaking up the last few moments of this long weekend. The past few weeks for me are an absolute blur. Between my last trip to Toronto, dog sitting & endless trips back and forth to the hospital. But I'm unbelievably happy to say that things are now looking up. It's been a bit of a rough one, so it's nice to finally have some relief.
I know a lot of you have been asking,
what's been going on, why was I in Toronto, why do I NO LONGER HAVE AN IPHONE!!!???
Hahah So, I've come to catch you up!
I've partnered with LG Canada along with 9 other photographers from across the country to be some of the new faces of the LG G6! The
is their new flagship smartphone that launched earlier this month. It is such an unreal phone. I always thought it was funny that the people I knew that used android phones,
never
wanted to make the switch to apple. They are so anti apple. I have always been an apple user, so this is my first android and -OMG
I'm going to say it:
I'm not going back to apple.
I never realized that androids are so customizable and personalized. I'm obsessed with making everything exactly how I want it with my new phone and changing all the little things that used to drive me nuts about my old phone. I now have a SPEAKER THAT WORKS, a phone that DOESN'T DIE WHEN IT'S COLD OUT, and... wait for it... STORRRAAAAGGGGGEEE!!! I was always the person that would go to take a photo and then say "Never mind, my phone's full" -So frustrating. The LG L6 has slots for Micro SD cards and on top of that Google Drive, so literally endless storage. Yeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Justin has an android and now we have the same charger!!!! Hahah this may seem like a small detail, but it has made life so much easier. I was always jealous that he could talk to his Google Assistant. Stupid Siri is useless, seriously. The Google assistant is insane, she sets alarms, opens apps, keeps a conversation going and doesn't just give you links for answers, she actually says the answers to your questions. and -I HAVE ONE NOW!!! hahahaha eeee!
The main thing I love so much about my new babe other than to Google Assistant (lol), is the cameraaaaaaa! It actually has
four
cameras, two in the front, two in the back. Both sides include one standard camera, and one wide angle. It's so cool!!! I love having the option to take wide shots, it's crazy how well it works and doesn't distort at all. Also, a really fun feature I've been loving about the camera is that you can just say "
smile
" or "
cheese
" and the phone takes the photo. It's so cute, and perfect for when you're taking a picture of yourself and a friend. I always found it so hard to hold the phone, annnnnnd press the button, and keep my face normal. Hahah
So the trip!! I flew in to Toronto on Wednesday the 5th and settled into my hotel, got my new phone & headed to the launch party. It was held at Berkeley Church and such a cool venue. We had a fun time playing with our new phones and testing out the cameras. There was so much good food, drinks and people. To finish off the night, we had a very personal show by Dragonette. Eeeee I love her. Her vibe is so energetic and cool. Her voice sounds auto tuned, but it's literally her voice. She was so good.
Between the launch party, media coverage, content creation, photo shoots, the Raptors game, it was such a fun weeeeeeeekkk! I'm really excited to be a part of LG's team. It's going to be such a fun year and so many more cool things coming up.
I also got to hang with one of my favourite humans on the planet,
!!!! Cassandra is a Canadian designer. Her and I met in first year in Fredericton in 2011, then later in 2014 we lived together in Halifax! We seem to meet up in all kinds of ways during our fun little friendship haha. This time I got to visit her and her beautiful little white apartment downtown!! The view and lighting in this spot is incredible. We got to hangout, have brunch then later relax in the hotel hot tub with our other favourite gal, Kayley Reed. We spent hours and hours talking about work, ups and downs, struggles, amazingness and the future. I love these girlsssssss <3
The Raptors game on Friday night was definitely something I'll remember for a long time! LG surprised us in our suite with customized jerseys! Haha this was my first ever basketball game and it was so fun. Check out the wide angle shots of the arena.
Be sure to check out the other photographers that are now part of the LG Influencer team. They are all unreal photographers with insane feeds and talent.
I have some really fun posts planned in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned!!
Happy Easter guys xox
